Local Democracy Week II - Young People's Question Time

11.05.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Thu 15th Oct 2009

Greg has attended an excellent evening at the Great North Museum where more than 200 young people grilled politicians, police, and transport bosses about issues that matter to them in Newcastle. The event was organised, chaired, and run by young people and was superb.

Greg said "One of the most interesting debates was on the image of young people and they very clearly articulated their views and challenged the negative perception the media often reports. It was fantastic to see so many young people passionately engaged in discussing local issues and it was a very informative evening. The organisers deserve great credit."
