Lib Dem councillor for North Heaton

Greg calls on council to throw the book at Thomson

1.30.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sun 30th Aug 2009

North Heaton Lib Dem councillor Greg Stone is pressing for the city council to take enforcement action against Thomson after hundreds of their directories were strewn across the High Heaton estate.

Greg said "Clearly Thomson's distributors have gone round the estate and simply tossed the books on to paths, drives, and front gardens. As a result there are scores of them littering the streets, gardens, and hedges and being left to rot. This is simply not good enough. I will be writing to Thomson to complain and asking the council to take action."
